We have promoted and opened new commercial routes with Brazil for regional brands of Japanese traditional products registered at the Japanese regionally based trademark system (by the Japan Patent Office). In Japan, we’ve invited local designers to visit the places of production and to participate in study groups. In Brazil, we’ve organized exhibitions and business meetings. The main objective was to introduce the qualities of genuine Japanese traditional products and the touristic resources of their places of production, in order to create a new market.
